Below you'll find answers to many of the questions we receive from prospective families. General Questions
Where are you located?
We're located in Sumrall, Mississippi. Pickup is by appointment, and we also offer meet-up locations and transportation options for families who live farther away.
Do you offer AKC registered puppies?
Yes. Both parents are AKC registered, making each puppy eligible for AKC registration. Your puppy will go home with the required AKC registration paperwork, and you may choose to register your puppy with the American Kennel Club after bringing them home.
How long have you been breeding dachshunds?
We've been raising long-haired miniature dachshunds for over 9 years and are passionate about producing healthy, well-socialized family companions.
Reservations & Deposits
How do I reserve a puppy?
Complete the "I'm Interested" form on the puppy's page. We'll contact you to answer any questions and discuss the next steps. A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy.
How much is the deposit?
A $300 non-refundable deposit holds your puppy and is applied toward the purchase price.
When can I reserve a puppy?
Puppies become available for reservation after they have been individually evaluated. At that time, deposits are accepted on available puppies.
Pricing
How much do your puppies cost?
Pricing varies based on color, markings, and individual evaluation. Current pricing is listed on each puppy's individual page.
What's included in the price?
Every puppy includes AKC paperwork, age-appropriate vaccinations, routine deworming, a veterinary wellness exam, health records, a blanket, toy, food sample, and lifetime breeder support.
Raising Our Puppies
What kind of socialization do your puppies receive?
Our puppies are raised in a dedicated puppy nursery where they receive daily care, gentle handling, individual attention, and lots of love and cuddles. We spend time with them throughout the day, helping them become comfortable with people while introducing them to everyday sights and sounds, grooming, nail trims, Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), and Early Scent Introduction (ESI). Our goal is to help each puppy grow into a confident, well-adjusted companion ready for their new family.
Do you start potty training?
Yes. We begin introducing potty training before your puppy goes home by using trays with pine pellets. While no puppy is fully potty trained at eight weeks of age, this early introduction helps them begin developing good habits and provides a foundation for continued training in their new home.
What veterinary care do puppies receive?
Before going home, every puppy receives:
- Routine deworming
- Age-appropriate vaccinations
- Complete veterinary wellness exam
- Health records
Go Home Day
When can my puppy go home?
Puppies typically go home at approximately 8 weeks of age.
Can you keep my puppy longer?
Our goal is for each litter to transition to their new families around the same time.
Please plan for pickup during the scheduled go-home weekend. If you anticipate needing a later pickup, let us know before placing a deposit so we can discuss your options.
What should I bring to pickup?
Just yourself! We'll have your puppy, paperwork, and go-home bag ready.
